The Savings bank of Skagafjörður is located in Sauðárkrókur. Other banks are the national banks, Arion banki and Landsbanki that operate branches in Sauðárkrókur and the first also in Varmahlíð and Hofsós. A handful of accountant offices are located in Sauðárkrókur amongst them branches from Deloitte and Touche and KPMG.
